Like each bump, maternity trousers come in all shapes and sizes.

Maternity jeans are one thing that can't be recommended highly enough. You must have them in your maternity wardrobe. If you live in jeans when you are not pregnant, you can assume that you are likely to live in them when you are. You should have at least two pairs of maternity jeans; one pair for total comfort and one pair that you can dress up and feel glamorous in.

There are plenty of comfortable fitting maternity jeans on the market and they come in all sorts of different weights of fabric. If you are going to be inside for long periods of time during the hotter months, you may want to invest in a lighter weight cotton mix pair as well as a heavier weight pair for general wear. The comfortable fit ting jeans tend to have a baggier cut with extra room at the hips and on the legs. For a more standard cut, opt for straight leg maternity jeans. These look great with flats and can be tucked into boots more easily than bootleg cut maternity jeans which will sit outside a boot.

Quite a new thing in maternity jeans are maternity jeggings. These are basically leggings in a cotton/demin mix fabric with room for your bump, they often sit under the bump as this can give a sleeker look. They look fabulous with maternity tunics and, if you have the right figure, when teamed with a bump hugging maternity top. Jeggings or skinny fit maternity jeans look really glamorous and, dare I say it, sexy when worn with a dressy maternity top and killer heels.
